Our Story
Fjords Community CIC began with a simple belief: people feel better when they reconnect with nature.
In a world that often moves too fast, where many people feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or overlooked, we believe there is something powerful about slowing down and returning to the basics — growing food, working with the land, learning together, and building real community.
Our organisation is proudly neurodiversity-led, and many of the people involved in Fjords Community CIC bring lived experience of challenges such as ADHD, autism, depression, homelessness, and being care-experienced.
Because of this, we understand firsthand how important it is for people to have spaces where they feel accepted, calm, and able to be themselves.
For many of us, nature became that space.
